Job Summary

The Applications Developer III is the advanced journey level classification in the Applications Developer series. As a technical lead developer, you will be responsible for performing advanced complex applications development projects, providing advice and consulting on methods for achieving business objectives, and interacting with managers in user communities. This is a primarily remote opportunity, with the flexibility to work from a pre-designated home-based location within the State of California.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and implement complex applications using Angular and .NET technologies
  • Serve as a technical lead developer, providing guidance and expertise to junior developers
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions to meet those needs
  • Participate in the development of technical roadmaps and strategic plans
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring high-quality solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, applying that knowledge to improve applications and processes

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Four (4) years full-time (or equivalent) of progressively responsible experience in applications design and development
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, testing, and version control
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of experience with Angular version 6 or higher
  • Five (5) years of experience with Microsoft technologies, such as .NET Core 3.1/5, C#, MVC, WebAPI, Entity Framework, JavaScript, Bootstrap, or CSS
  • Five (5) years of experience with design and development using SQL Server or Oracle database
  • Experience with cloud development, preferably Azure
  • Experience with Web services and microservice architecture
  • Experience with Angular/NativeScript, Blazor, OpenID/Oath2 Security, and Web API/Swagger
  • Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology
  • Experience as a technical lead or project manager in medium to large-scale development projects
