Job Summary

As a Part-Time Teacher/Tutor at Sylvan Learning, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality educational services to students in a small group setting. You will work with students to develop mastery of skills, build confidence, and inspire a love of learning. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality educational services to students in a small group setting (3 or 4:1)
• Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student
• Build mastery of skills and confidence in students across a range of subjects, including reading, math, writing, study skills, and ACT/SAT Test Prep
• Utilize Sylvan's expert personal and prescriptive approach to drive academic success
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and engaging learning environment
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry trends

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Current or expired teaching license from any state (required for reading instruction)
• Passion for teaching and learning, with a strong commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of students
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
