About the Role

This is a remote job opportunity that offers the flexibility to work from anywhere. As a Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and tools that meet the evolving needs of our business. You'll work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, develop high-quality software solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop High-Quality Software Applications: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets specifications and contributes to the development of innovative software applications and tools.
  • Testing and Debugging: Perform thorough testing and debugging of software applications to ensure they meet the required standards and are free from defects.
  • Agile Development Methodologies: Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure iterative and incremental delivery of software solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and designers, to identify project requirements and develop software solutions that meet business needs.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, applying judgment and expertise to determine the most effective solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, applying this knowledge to improve software development processes and solutions.
  • Building Effective Relationships: Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including peers, managers, and customers, to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Programming Experience: Proven experience in writing code for applications or automation, with proficiency in programming languages relevant to the association.
  • Software Development Life Cycle: Knowledge of the Product Improvement Life Cycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex issues, identify solutions, and implement fixes.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes, both within and outside the state.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile environment, with knowledge of Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Technical Expertise: At least 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on online applications, microservices, APIs, or mobile applications.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Proven ability to identify functional issues, recommend solutions, and implement fixes.
