Key Responsibilities

• Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting services for a variety of clients, including financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and tax returns.
• Handle tasks such as payroll processing, sales tax (Transaction Privilege Tax) preparation, 1099 preparation, and Workers' Compensation/Insurance audits.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain financial data integrity and perform regular checks to ensure compliance and correctness.
• Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, and other tools to efficiently manage client data and perform tasks.
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management through written and verbal reports, emails, and phone calls.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Proven accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or industry.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Client Relationship Manager (CRM) software.
• The ability to quickly learn new accounting software and systems.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• A high level of honesty, integrity, dependability, and critical thinking.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

While not required, business tax preparation experience is a plus, and having a CPA certification is preferred.
