Job Summary

The Coordinator Early Childhood Program Outreach and Transition will play a critical role in assisting the Early Intervention Services team, ASD Preschool leadership, related services providers, and teachers in promoting quality Child Find and early childhood transitions. This position requires a bachelor's degree in early childhood education, elementary education, or a related field, and a minimum of three years of experience in early childhood education or a related field. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of or experience with software collaboration tools such as Google Drive, PowerSchool, Adobe Pro, Panda Docs, and Zoom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend 90-day transition meetings as the ASD representative and facilitate applications coming from ILP.
  • Communicate with providers and families about any needed file components and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Participate in community fairs and activities to promote Child Find across Anchorage and support the EISC and special education department in Child Find communications and outreach.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies, families, and ASD Early Intervention to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
  • Utilize software collaboration tools to manage and coordinate early childhood programs and services.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, elementary education, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of or experience with software collaboration tools such as Google Drive, PowerSchool, Adobe Pro, Panda Docs, and Zoom.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of special education regulations and the early childhood transition process.
  • Familiarity with ASD Preschool programs and Child Find regulations.
  • Experience with early childhood screenings and assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
