Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Instructional Coach and Site Coordinator to oversee our tutoring program at two locations: Lounsberry Hollow Middle School and Rolling Hills. As an Instructional Coach, you will provide guidance and support to tutors, while as a Site Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the program at both sites. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with site staff and the community to ensure a smooth and successful program implementation.
- Ensure that tutors have the necessary materials and resources to support students' learning and success.
- Complete and submit digital records of tutor and scholar attendance, scholar rosters, and site concerns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in weekly meetings with other Site Coordinators and/or Instructional Coaches to share best practices and address program concerns.
- Manage tutors' work schedules and ensure that they are using all materials and resources needed to support students' learning.
- Observe tutoring sessions and provide constructive feedback to tutors to improve their instructional practices.
- Assist tutors with data-driven instruction using iReady and other assessment tools.
- Apprise the NJTC Program Director of staff issues and work to resolve them promptly.
- Ensure that all tutors undergo the required background checks and provide proof of vaccination and COVID-19 requirements.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience teaching in a K-8 setting, preferably in New Jersey.
- New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form) or ability to obtain one.
- Past history of overseeing the work of others, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Experience working with students in grades K-8, particularly in math and literacy.
- Familiarity with iReady and other assessment tools.
- Experience with data-driven instruction and coaching.
