Job Summary
As a School Technology Support Technician, you will play a vital role in providing technical support to designated schools and our district's technology support center. You will serve as a liaison between school staff and technology resources, collaborating with instructional and library media staff to address building-level technology needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for designated schools, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues
 - Work periodically at the district's technology support center, answering phones, emails, and providing customer service to walk-ins
 - Collaborate with instructional and library media staff to support building-level technology needs and integrate technology into the curriculum
 - Maintain accurate records of technical support requests, issues, and resolutions
 - Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in education technology
 - Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
 
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Education Technology, or related field preferred
 - Minimum of three (3) years of experience in technology support or related experience; experience in an educational setting is highly desirable
 - Proficiency in desktop operating systems, including Mac OS and MS Windows
 - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with educators, students, and stakeholders
 - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be required for some positions)
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and educational software applications
 - Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and ticketing systems
 - Certifications in CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar technical certifications
 
Skills and Competencies:
- Technical expertise in hardware, software, and networking

 - Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
