The Division of Financial Regulation (DFR) is responsible for ensuring the safety and soundness of financial institutions, the availability and affordability of financial products, and the fair treatment of consumers. Our team of experts works tirelessly to license, regulate, and monitor the conduct of banks, credit unions, financial services providers, health care service contractors, insurance companies, and licensed or registered agents of such entities.About the Securities Manager Role
As the Securities Manager, you will provide leadership and direction for the Securities Section, which includes securities analysts/examiners, registration/enforcement attorneys, and support personnel. Your duties will include:- Supervising and managing diverse program staff
- Reviewing securities registration applications to determine whether offerings meet Oregon's statutory merit standards
- Evaluating, preparing, and developing administrative, civil, and criminal cases
- Working with stakeholders, consumer advocates, and staff to develop legislation and rules
- Advising senior division and department management on policy issues involving securities laws and regulations
- Possibly serving as a Special Assistant Attorney General (SAAG) in civil and administrative cases involving securities regulation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:- At least six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience
- Or three years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field
- A member of the Oregon State Bar or be admitted within six months of accepting the position
- Highly organized
- Ability to handle large volumes of work with frequent interruptions
- Excellent people management skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience with evaluating securities offerings
