Job Summary
As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for performing clerical and data entry tasks to support our Adult Education office. You will work independently in a remote setting, utilizing your organizational and technical skills to ensure accurate record-keeping, data organization, and timely reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Manage multiple databases to ensure accurate record-keeping and data organization, maintaining up-to-date and secure records.
- Grant Data Entry: Enter required grant data accurately into NRS to meet monthly, quarterly, and year-end deadlines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices for attendance and assessment data, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Data Security: Ensure required security of student data in compliance with FERPA, maintaining confidentiality and protecting sensitive information.
- Error Checks and Data Clean-up: Complete regular error checks and data clean-up in NRS to ensure accurate reporting and data quality.
- Data Accessibility: Ensure data is accessible in a timely manner to staff and other stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.
- Task Organization: Organize and prioritize tasks to meet all local, state, and program deadlines, demonstrating excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Student Outcomes: Monitor and evaluate student outcomes, including pre/post testing with state-mandated assessments, to inform program development and improvement.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, such as scanning documents, labeling items, inventorying supplies, basic word processing, organizing digital files, preparing mailings, and assisting with filing.
- Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and industry trends.
Essential Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma or GED required.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, MS Office Software, and Excel.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to perform office work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy, plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with others and convey detailed instructions accurately.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for long periods, exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and possess normal cognitive abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in data entry, administration, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with database management systems, data analysis, and reporting tools.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA or Microsoft Office Specialist.
