About Amazon's 3P Marketplace

Amazon's 3P marketplace is a platform where third-party sellers can list and sell their products to millions of customers worldwide. As an Account Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying and onboarding high-potential sellers, guiding them through best practices in online selling, and ensuring they meet Amazon's high standards of delivery, customer experience, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Analysis and Insights: Develop a thorough understanding of the marketplace segment, seasonality, and global trends. Monitor competitor efforts and identify opportunities to stay ahead.
  • Seller Acquisition and Development: Prospect and acquire high-ability sellers through direct sales visits, events, and presentations. Guide them through sharing best practices in online selling, including data-driven insights.
  • Seller Enablement and Support: Work with internal and external stakeholders to recognize and resolve seller issues. Provide coaching and support to help sellers achieve high standards of delivery, customer experience, and business objectives.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to attract key marketplace players and maximize product selection and customer base.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track and analyze key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve seller performance and marketplace growth.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Sales Experience: 1-3 years of successful business-to-business sales experience, preferably in e-commerce, technology, retail, or FMCG industries.
  • Consultative Sales Skills: Demonstrated achievement in exceeding sales objectives using consultative and solutions-focused processes.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Advanced conversation and presentation skills, with a strong working understanding of Excel and MS Office programs.
  • Analytical and Quantitative Skills: Advanced analytical skills and quantitative abilities, with the ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • E-commerce Experience: 2+ years of e-commerce experience is a plus.
  • Consumer Electronics Experience: 3+ years of experience in the consumer electronics sector is a plus.
  • Direct Sales Experience: 3+ years of direct sales experience is a plus.
