Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Representative for Intuit TurboTax, you will provide support to customers via phone, chat, and/or video chat, focusing on software navigation and locating previous tax returns and amendments. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing empathetic and professional support to customers, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Leveraging critical thinking and multi-tasking capabilities to navigate multiple systems and resolve complex issues
  • Escalating issues when necessary, ensuring that customers receive the support they need
  • Utilizing your technical skills to troubleshoot software issues and provide solutions to customers
  • Working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple customer interactions simultaneously

Schedule and Compensation

This seasonal contract runs through April 15th, 2024, with flexible schedule opportunities available. You will have the ability to create your own schedule, choosing from a variety of hours between 7 am and 11 pm CST, Monday through Sunday. Compensation for this role includes:

  • Earning up to $19 per hour
  • Average earnings of $16-$19/hour during peak times and $15.60-$17.50/hour during non-peak times
  • Peak rates apply from January to April

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A sincere desire to assist customers and provide exceptional support
  • Technical skills and experience as an avid computer user
  • Ability to multi-task and navigate multiple systems
  • Excellent communication skills, with a friendly tone and professional demeanor

In addition to these skills, you will need to meet our technology and equipment requirements, including:

  • A personal computer (no tablet) with Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
  • A broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 10 MBPS
  • A wired internet connection (no wi-fi or mobile internet)
  • Valid antivirus software installed, running, and up to date
  • A USB headset with microphone
  • A quiet, uninterrupted workspace with a professional appearance (if on camera)
