Job Summary: Clinical Assistant Professor - Advanced Data Analytics

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced candidates for multiple positions of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Advanced Data Analytics. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of data analytics professionals through teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the department's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of courses in the MS degree program in Data Analytics, as well as graduate and undergraduate certificates, including subjects such as data analytics, applied statistics, machine learning, AI, and data engineering.
  • Develop and deliver online and face-to-face courses at UNT's Denton and Frisco campuses, leveraging your expertise to create engaging and informative learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse faculty and students across the ADTA department and UNT, fostering a culture of innovation and mutual support.
  • Teach a course load of 3-4 courses per semester, with potential for course load reduction for scholarly and professional activities, program advising, course development, or other professional development and service activities.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, contributing to the growth and development of the ADTA program.

Essential Qualifications

  • A terminal degree in Data Analytics/Science or a related quantitative/technical field, such as Business Analytics, Information Technology, Economics, Decision Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, or Applied Statistics.
  • Experience teaching at the university level and/or significant experience mentoring industry professionals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying analytic methods in business, government, or science settings.
  • Experience teaching online classes, with a strong understanding of best practices in online education.
  • A record of scholarly and professional activities that demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
