The college offers a range of programs, including traditional BSN, second-degree accelerated BSN, RN to BSN completion, RN to MSN, and MSN with tracks for administration, nursing education, family nurse practitioner, clinical nurse leader, and DNP. Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled nursing faculty member to teach in the Obstetrical Nursing program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and advising students, as well as contributing to the college's mission through service and scholarship. This is a full-time, nine-month appointment with a rank and tenure commensurate with background and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in Obstetrical Nursing, both online and on-campus, with a focus on delivering high-quality education and mentorship to students.
  • Develop and maintain curriculum that is current, relevant, and aligned with professional standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Advise and mentor students, providing guidance and support to facilitate their academic and professional success.
  • Participate in college and university service, including committee work, accreditation efforts, and community outreach.
  • Engage in scholarship and research activities that contribute to the advancement of nursing practice and education.
  • Foster a learning environment that is inclusive, respectful, and conducive to student success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a culture of academic excellence and innovation.

Essential Qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in nursing or a related field (candidates enrolled in a doctoral program may be considered).
  • Clinical expertise in Obstetrical Nursing.
  • Previous experience in nursing higher education preferred.
  • Strong teaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to engage students in a variety of learning environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience in a nursing program.
