Job Summary

As a Middle School Enrichment Teacher at KIPP New Jersey, you'll play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students. We're looking for passionate educators who can inspire and motivate our students to excel in their academic pursuits. You'll have the opportunity to teach in one of the following enrichment areas: Music, Foreign Language, Dance, Theatre, or Physical Education. Key Responsibilities

  • Create, internalize, modify, and prepare lesson plans in accordance with academic curriculum, working closely with the grade level team to ensure seamless integration.
  • Use data to inform instruction and responsively teach to mastery of academic skills, adapting your approach to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment by working closely with students, families, and colleagues to promote student progress and achievement.
  • Reinforce a firm foundation for all classes, upholding classroom management techniques that promote a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Participate in diagnostic and progress monitoring testing across the school, using data to inform instruction and drive student growth.
  • Monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies to ensure all students meet learning objectives and achieve their full potential.
  • Update student performance trackers, using data to guide lesson plans and inform instruction.
  • Engage with the school community by participating in school, departmental, and parent meetings, as well as school events, activities, and programs.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, with official transcripts showing degree conferred required prior to the starting date of employment.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 if graduation date is after 2016, or a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 if degree conferred before 2016.
  • Appropriate state teaching certification completed or in process of being completed, demonstrating your commitment to professional excellence.
  • Subject matter expertise in one of the following areas: Music, Foreign Language, Dance, Theatre, or Physical Education.
  • A minimum of two years of teaching experience, with a demonstrated interest in working with students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
  • A track record of success in the classroom, with a collaborative attitude towards teaching and learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A record of exceptional student achievement and results at a high-performing charter network or charter management organization.
  • A belief that all students deserve a world-class education, which can be achieved through education reform and innovative practices.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $63,000-$101,000+ for teacher positions, with additional opportunities for earning up to $5,500 annually in performance-based pay. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
