Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Pharmacist – Centralized Services at Walgreens, your key responsibilities will include:
- Executing direct patient care programs, including but not limited to Drug Therapy Management programs, Vaccination Services, and Payer and Pharma Adherence and Clinical Projects
 - Driving the execution of numerous marketable strategies and initiatives to guarantee business needs are being met
 - Driving compliance and continuous quality improvement in the delivery of clinical pharmacy patient care and services
 - Ensuring region pharmacies comply with regulatory compliance, standard operating procedures, and FDA guidelines
 - Driving regional pharmacy financial performance by aligning business strategies to company financial objectives
 - Implementing and executing patient intervention pharmacy programs to maximize financial performance
 - Supporting efforts on improving patient experience by increasing focus on healthcare services
 - Providing expertise, resources, education, and support to pharmacists and field management
 - Conducting data and clinical reviews and making necessary actions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medications
 - Reviewing drug histories and patient profiles to ensure proper and safe medication treatment
 - Providing personalized patient/provider counsel and giving feedback regarding the effectiveness of the Client Maintenance Program
 
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Current Pharmacist license as allowed by the applicable state licensing authority
 - Experience promoting colleagues to research and resolve issues
 - Experience working with private data
 - Ability to work non-standard hours, which may include evenings, holidays, and/or weekends
 - Experience using time utilization skills, such as prioritizing/planning and following details and meeting deadlines of multiple tasks with varying completion dates
 - Experience creating ways to achieve goals with minimal supervision, relying on oneself to complete objectives, and determining when escalation of issues is necessary
 - Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
 - Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Ability to obtain other state pharmacy licenses if necessary
 - Knowledge of insurance plans
 - Knowledge of computer operating systems, including Radio, Commitment, and Plus
 - Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste, and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting borders, selecting page orientation, using spell check, and/or printing worksheets)
 - Basic level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, editing, hiding, and deleting slides, navigating between slides, expanding list level, adding, centering, and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing frame view or running a slide show)
 - Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting, and editing text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and paragraph width, formatting, inserting bullets, pictures, and dates, using find and replace, fix, spell check, track changes, review sheet, and/or print functions)
