Job Overview: Associate Principal (Solutions Architect) - Power BI

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Principal (Solutions Architect) with a strong background in Power BI and Power Apps to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to balance your time between our office in Chesterfield, MO, and remote work from home. As a Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, modifying, debugging, and evaluating programs for functional or operational areas, leveraging your technical expertise to solve complex business problems with automated systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business problems to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
  • Design, develop, modify, debug, and evaluate programs to meet user requirements and business needs.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing cost-effective systems and procedures.
  • Develop conversion and system implementation plans, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation, maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Configure system settings and options, plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing, and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with users to understand requirements, provide training on new systems, and ensure successful implementation and adoption.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Twelve (12) years of relevant technical or business work experience, with a focus on software development, solutions architecture, or a related field.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in computer science, information technology, or a similar discipline.
  • Extensive experience along the full software development life cycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, with experience in building canvas Power Apps and model-driven Power Apps.
  • Familiarity with Dataverse and Power Automate, as well as understanding of data modeling for business applications.
  • Power Platform Fundamentals and App Maker certification is highly desirable, showcasing your expertise and commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly valued:

  • Advanced degree in a related field, such as a Master's in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Certifications in related technologies, such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Developer Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power Apps Developer Associate.
