Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Global Trade Technology Management professional to work remotely in the USA. As a Manager, GT Technology Management, you will be responsible for performing sophisticated Jurisdiction & Classification (JC) analysis and validation, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, and supporting investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures. You will also determine the root cause of escapes and implement corrective actions to support process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under and within the following U.S. Regulations: Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR), and HTS
  • Perform most sophisticated JC analysis and validation, including resolution of JC escalation and supplier issues
  • Perform HTS classifications and support investigations and reviews of possible GT escapes and disclosures
  • Determine the root cause of escapes and implement corrective actions to support process improvement
  • Analyze business needs, including technology needs, with respect to export authorization requirements
  • Prepare and submit Commodity Jurisdiction (CJ) and Commodity Classification Automated Tracking System (CCATS) to government agencies
  • Support the development and delivery of formal and informal J/C and HTS Focal training

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in global trade technology management, including experience with export and import regulations. You should have a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience. In the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience will be considered.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Experience with classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO) HTS
  • Experience with US Export (classification) Regulations, specifically the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL), ITAR, and the United States Munitions List (USML)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS Engineering or Business Administration
  • Engineering and/or technical background
  • Aerospace (program/technical) experience
  • 1 to 2 years working with GT and related export/HTS classification matters
  • Experience with Collins/RTX current trade compliance related processes (classifications, authorizations, logging, compliant transfer modes, record keeping, etc.) and Collins specific GT related systems (GTS, OCR, MKDenial, xClass, TEXPORT)

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $94,000 - $196,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, three weeks of vacation for newly hired employees, a generous 401(k) plan, and tuition reimbursement program.
