Job Summary

The Import/Export Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all international shipments, including air and ocean freight, for Carnival Cruise Line. This will involve preparing and processing customs documents, liaising with other departments and warehouses, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of international logistics, customs procedures, and supply chain management, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare necessary documentation and customs forms for international shipments, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and customs declarations
  • Liaise with other departments, warehouses, and suppliers to establish and maintain effective export/import activities
  • Verify and issue delivery orders to airlines, ocean carriers, and customs brokers for international shipments
  • Communicate and arrange with carriers for pickup of goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
  • Maintain import files and ensure compliance with customs regulations and Carnival procedures
  • Coordinate international hazmat orders, reviewing and documenting shipments as required
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned by the Senior Logistics Manager

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in CBP transactions, including bond issuance and closure
  • Robust Excel skills and experience with AMS, Editrade, or other customs platforms
  • Minimal or no travel required, with the ability to work remotely from the East Coast

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience in international logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Knowledge of customs regulations, including HTS classification and free trade agreements
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The hourly range for this role is from $18.00 to $22.00, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you will also be eligible for:
