Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide occupational therapy services to our patients in both clinic and home health settings. As an Occupational Therapist at Aveanna Healthcare, you will be responsible for evaluating, coordinating, and administering quality occupational therapy services to our patients. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by the physician, including evaluations, treatments, and discharge planning
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and caregivers on occupational therapy techniques and strategies
  • Participate in patient case conferences and contribute to the development of care plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
  • Supervise other personnel, such as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs), as required

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university/program
  • Current and unrestricted license in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
  • Ability to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • Ability to travel and work in a variety of settings, including clinics and patients' homes

Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Pediatric experience
  • One (1) year of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting
  • Experience working with medically fragile children and adults
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits:
