Key Responsibilities
- Provide best-in-class customer service to IonTuition's various lines of business, handling inbound and outbound customer calls, emails, chats, and texts in a timely and professional manner.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage technical inquiries, follow up on customer issues, and ensure resolution.
- Maintain accurate records, update demographic and contact information, and notate all interactions.
- Initiate calls to Federal loan servicers to resolve repayment options for customers with Federal student loans.
- Comprehend and apply training material on various topics, sharing new concepts and content with the team.
- Adhere to federal and state laws governing the industry, client Statement of Work standards, and company guidelines and policies.
- Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly performance goals, demonstrating productivity and efficiency.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful as a Customer Service Associate at IonTuition, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain rapport with customers.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask.
- A self-starter with a great degree of internal motivation, able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Technical skills, including the ability to operate and navigate various technical devices and systems, troubleshoot common computer issues, and utilize CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Experience working in the education or financial services industry.
- Knowledge of student loan repayment options and processes.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and other customer service software.

Training and Onboarding
During the first two weeks of employment, you will undergo comprehensive training, conducted Monday to Friday between 8 am and 5 pm CST. This training will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in your role and provide exceptional customer service.
