About the Role

As a Senior Financial Investigator, you will be an integral part of the GTC Group, responsible for supporting the organization's financial reporting, compliance, and risk management initiatives. Your primary focus will be on data entry, financial analysis, and reporting, ensuring that our financial statements are accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements. You will work closely with senior management, internal stakeholders, and external auditors to drive business growth, improve processes, and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the organization's ongoing reporting initiatives, including financial statements, regulatory filings, and management reports.
  • Prepare detailed analyses of portfolio performance, providing insights to senior management, global depository teams, and auditors.
  • Assist in meeting external reporting requirements, including SEC and regulatory filings.
  • Participate in project planning and execution, driving process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including depository, external reporting, and global accounting policy.
  • Document and maintain compliance with financial reporting controls.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in audit, accounting, or finance, with a strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles.
  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle, SAP, and MS Access is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in accounting or finance.
  • Experience in depository/controllership or capital markets is an asset.
  • CPA or CMA certification is an asset.
