Job Summary
As a Customer Service Professional - Remote Insurance Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, providing information on benefit coverage, and resolving issues for policyholders, spouses, parents, and beneficiaries. This is a fully remote role, with the flexibility to work from home, but requires availability to work within specific hours and be within 60 miles of one of our Prudential offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders, spouses, parents, and beneficiaries, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Evaluate and answer customer inquiries, which may require deviation from standard procedures and screens.
- Utilize computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and providing information, referrals, and routine transactions.
- Assess customer needs and suggest alternative products or services.
- Handle calls and transactions independently, escalating issues when necessary.
- Document and investigate customer complaints, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Promote products and services, responding verbally and/or in writing to customer inquiries.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of directly related customer service experience, with well-developed transaction processing skills.
- College degree or equivalent business/military experience preferred.
- Strong people skills, with the ability to think like the customer and deliver top-quality service.
- Proven record of dependability, punctuality, and reliable attendance.
- Ability to learn and retain technical information in a relatively short period.
- Receptivity to detailed performance feedback.
- Proficiency with keyboard and window-based applications, including the internet.
- Proven self-motivation skills, active listening skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to excel in a team environment and work independently.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Military experience or background.
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
- Familiarity with insurance products or services.

Salary Range: $39,400.00 - $58,500.00 per year, depending on experience and location.
