We are seeking an experienced Customer Advocate Phone Specialist to join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service. As a Customer Advocate Phone Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing inbound phone support to healthcare customers throughout Arizona, identifying, researching, processing, resolving, and responding to customer inquiries via telephone and written correspondence. As a Customer Advocate Phone Specialist, you will be responsible for:- Identifying, researching, processing, resolving, and responding to customer inquiries and correspondence via telephone, written communication, and/or in person.
- Answering a diverse and high volume of health insurance-related customer calls and correspondence on a daily basis.
- Meeting quality, quantity, and timeliness standards to achieve individual and department performance goals as defined within the department guidelines.
- Consulting and coordinating with various internal departments, external plans, providers, businesses, and government agencies to obtain information and ensure resolution of customer inquiries.
- Documenting and recording facts related to inquiries and correspondence by updating BCBSAZ files and systems.
- Demonstrating and maintaining current working knowledge of the required BCBSAZ systems, procedures, forms, and manuals.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:- At least one (1) year of experience in claims examination, health insurance, customer service, call center, medical office, or other healthcare-related field.
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Intermediate PC proficiency.
