We are seeking an experiencedWorkday Cutover Leadto oversee and manage the cutover process for ourWorkday implementation. This is a100% remote opportunity, but candidates must be located in theEastern Standard Time (EST) zoneto align with project schedules and team collaboration. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience inWorkday system implementations, data migrations, and cutover planning, ensuring a seamless transition from legacy systems to Workday.
As theCutover Lead, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing cutover activities, working closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams. You will be responsible forrisk mitigation, timeline management, stakeholder communication, and post-go-live supportto ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities:
Cutover Planning & Execution
Develop and manage theWorkday cutover strategy, timeline, and execution planfor system go-live.
Coordinatepre-cutover, cutover, and post-cutoveractivities, ensuring minimal business disruption.
Define and document cutover tasks, responsibilities, dependencies, and sequencing.
Establish cutover checkpoints, readiness criteria, and go/no-go decision gates.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with project managers, Workday functional/technical teams, and business stakeholders to align cutover plans with broader implementation goals.
Facilitate regular status meetings and communicate updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
Ensure all impacted teams (HR, Finance, IT, Payroll, etc.) are informed and prepared for the transition.
Risk Management & Issue Resolution
Identify potential cutover risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Monitor cutover progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Work proactively to resolve roadblocks and ensure smooth system transition.
Data Migration & Validation
Oversee data migration activities, ensuring successful data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
Conduct validation checks to confirm data integrity and accuracy post-migration.
Partner with testing teams to ensure all business processes function as expected post-cutover.
Post-Go-Live Support & Stabilization
Provide hypercare support post-go-live, ensuring quick resolution of system issues.
Gather feedback from users and refine processes to optimize system performance.
Ensure knowledge transfer and documentation for ongoing Workday system maintenance.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
5+ yearsof experience inERP or Workday cutover planning and execution.
Proven experience managinglarge-scale system migrationsand cutover strategies.
Strong understanding ofWorkday HCM, Finance, Payroll, and Integrations.
Skills:
Expertise incutover project management methodologiesand best practices.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Excellentproblem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in tools such asMicrosoft Project, JIRA, ServiceNow, and Smartsheet.
Education & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree inInformation Technology, Business, or a related field(preferred).
