About ICF and the Contracts & Administration Team

Our Contracts & Administration (C&A) team plays a vital role in supporting our project teams and ensuring compliance with client guidelines. The C&A Group is a diverse team that encompasses Contracts, Subcontracts, Purchasing, Pricing, Travel, Operations, and Facilities. As a Purchasing Intern, you will be an integral part of this team, providing direct support to the ICF Purchasing Team and gaining valuable experience in government and commercial procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with drafting and negotiating Non-Disclosure, Master Services, and Purchase Order Agreements, developing your skills in contract management and administration.
 - Ensure procurement file compliance by drafting procurement award summaries and price analysis, and maintaining accurate records.
 - Serve as a liaison between suppliers and business units, responding to purchasing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating communication.
 - Assist with internal data analysis and reconciliation, honing your analytical skills and attention to detail.
 - Participate in the proposal process, including sending out Requests for Proposal (RFP)/Requests for Quote (RFQ), reviewing proposals, and verifying market and supplier information.
 
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must be:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Accounting, Business Administration, Communications, Data Analysis, Economics, Management, Marketing, Psychology, Project Management, Public Policy, Supply Chain Management & Logistics, or a related degree.
 - Anticipated to graduate by August 2025 or later.
 - Interested in government and commercial procurement, research analysis, negotiating, business administration, and consulting.
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Previous internship or work experience in procurement, contract management, or a related field.
 - Knowledge of procurement regulations and guidelines, such as FAR or U.S. Government procurement policies.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits
ICF offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $33,569 - $57,067 for this position. In addition to your salary, you will be eligible for a range of benefits, including:
