Job Overview
As an Aetna Account Manager, you will be responsible for serving as a consultative partner to our clients, working directly with them to support various movements related to their pharmaceutical benefit plans. This includes setting up new plans, enhancing plan changes, analyzing complex issues, identifying root causes, and driving reasonable and intelligent solutions. You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of value in client service through the execution of accuracy, responsiveness, reliability, business acumen, and professionalism in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and key stakeholders to support the management of pharmaceutical benefit plans
- Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions
- Demonstrate exceptional client service skills, including accuracy, responsiveness, and reliability
- Work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment with rapid turnaround times
- Exercise professional judgment in anticipating, analyzing, and resolving client issues
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, including pharmaceutical benefit management and related technologies
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a client-facing or customer support environment, or in a previous Account Manager role
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and web applications
- Strong motivation to learn and grow with the organization
- Excellent client service skills, including verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, handle multiple tasks and needs on a continuous basis, and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Knowledge of the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry
- Experience working with various intranet and extranet systems, CRM, or settlement platforms (e.g., SalesForce, Peoplesafe, AS400 system knowledge, etc.)
