Job Overview and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Data Entry and Care Management professional to join our team. As a Senior Manager of Care Management, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, supporting, and promoting health services strategies, policies, procedures, and programs that drive the delivery of quality healthcare to our members. You will oversee and manage high-performing teams, ensuring the effective operation of care management and care coordination activities across the continuum of care.

  • Drive the clinical team that supports timely health risk screenings, comprehensive assessments, care plan development, and member interventions according to the Aetna Better Health Risk Definition Level System and Texas contractual requirements.
  • Act as a contact with regulatory and accrediting agencies and other health specialty units.
  • Serve as a technical, professional, and business resource, potentially crossing multiple business functions.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives through effective implementation.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures that address business issues, potentially crossing multiple business functions.
  • Ability to coordinate program execution and clinical outcomes.
  • Knowledge of the regulations, standards, and policies that relate to clinical management.
  • Ability to communicate in a highly effective manner with internal and external constituents in both written and oral communication.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An active, unrestricted Texas State License in the appropriate functional area (e.g., RN, LPC, LCSW).
  • 7 years of experience in a clinical technical topic.
  • 7 years of administrative/managerial experience.
  • Care management experience.
  • Knowledge of the regulations, standards, and policies that relate to clinical management.
  • 3+ years of experience in computer, keyboard navigation, and MS Office Suite applications.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required for an RN license or a graduate degree in social services/clinical counseling for a BH license.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Managed care experience.
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM).
  • Texas Medicaid experience, specifically TX STAR and CHIP.
