Job Summary
The Instructional Training Designer will be responsible for the investigation, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of learning solutions. This includes creating instructor-led and virtual programs, as well as working with subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop educational strategies that drive business results. The ideal candidate will be a learning and instruction expert, leading consultative sessions and collaborating with the leadership team across the division and enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop engaging learning activities and compelling course content
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop educational objectives
- Create instructional designs, including infographics and other visual aids
- Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
- Develop supporting materials, such as audio, video, simulations, and games
- Design methods of evaluation, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course
- Evaluate assessments and provide feedback and learning opportunities
Qualifications and Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as instructional design, education, or communications
- At least 2 years of experience in corporate learning design and development
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 40%
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization
- Attention to detail and a quality-focused attitude
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Articulate, Dazzle, Vyond, case management systems, or Learning Management Systems (LMS)
