Key Responsibilities
- Interfacing with business customers, collecting requirements, and developing complex analytics models and data sets for deep dive analysis
- Identifying data quality issues across various systems at Amazon and developing solutions to address them
- Extracting and merging data from multiple heterogeneous data sources to create a unified view of our business
- Designing and building data visualization tools to provide scalable solutions for self-service metrics reporting
- Partnering with other analysts and engineers to build analytical solutions that drive business goals
- Proposing and implementing new business metrics for senior management reviews and working with data engineers to design and develop data infrastructure to support these metrics
- Building statistical models and ML-based algorithms to perform insight analysis and support decision-making
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in data analysis, visualization, and insights development. The following qualifications are essential:
- 3+ years of experience in a tax, finance, or related analytical discipline
- 5+ years of experience with Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau
- 3+ years of experience in business or financial analysis
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with SQL and defining requirements for data and metrics to drive business insights
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, the following skills and experiences are preferred:
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, EMR, and RDS
- Experience with scripting languages such as R, Python, and others

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
Our compensation package is competitive and reflects the value of your skills and experience. The base pay for this role ranges from $59,500 per year in our lowest geographic market to $143,100 per year in our highest geographic market.
