Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and building large-scale data systems
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in languages such as Python, Ruby, Java, Scala, Swift, or Objective C
  • Experience with data engineering tools and systems, including HDFS, Yarn, Flash, Impala, Kafka, HBase, MapReduce, Kubernetes, or Flink
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience leading and mentoring teams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and building large-scale data systems
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or GCP
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
  • Experience with data governance and data quality
