Job Summary
As an Assistant Bank Manager, you will serve as a leader and sales expert in our retail banking environment. You will be responsible for directly managing 1-5 bankers assigned to the branch, serving as second in command when the Bank or Market Manager is out of the branch, and working collaboratively with the Teller Supervisor and bankers to ensure established sales, service, operational, and financial goals are met or exceeded. You will also be responsible for directing the day-to-day sales activities of the office, striving to acquire new consumer and small business households, and cross-selling to new and existing households.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage 1-5 bankers assigned to the branch, providing coaching, feedback, and guidance to ensure success
 - Serve as second in command when the Bank or Market Manager is out of the branch, ensuring seamless operations and decision-making
 - Work collaboratively with the Teller Supervisor and bankers to ensure established sales, service, operational, and financial goals are met or exceeded
 - Direct the day-to-day sales activities of the office, striving to acquire new consumer and small business households, and cross-selling to new and existing households
 - Establish a full-relationship with customers, personally committing to consistently exceed customer expectations every time, everywhere, by being able to meet a broad range of financial service needs and consistently pursuing 100% of each customer's business
 - Provide awareness and demonstration of all customer channels, including digital channel capabilities, and advocate to colleagues and clients to influence digital adoption
 - Lead by example in goal attainment, demonstrating a thorough mastery of the sales process, operational procedures, policies, and the ability to make sound judgment decisions
 - Conduct observations and provide feedback and coaching to bankers, and conduct huddles, check-ins, and directly supervise all colleagues in the absence of the Branch or Market Manager
 
Essential Qualifications
- High School or equivalent combination of education and experience
 - 2-4 years of demonstrated leadership and sales experience in a retail banking environment
 - Other Banker Certification within 6 months of hire
 - Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
 - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgment decisions
 - Thorough knowledge of sales process, operational procedures, and policies
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field
 - Experience with digital banking platforms and technologies
 - Certification in customer service, sales, or leadership
 - Experience working in a diverse and inclusive environment
