Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Associate Director, IT Vendor Management and Strategic Sourcing to lead our vendor management and strategic sourcing efforts. As an Associate Director, you will supervise a team of IT professionals responsible for vendor management and sourcing technical products and services in technical organizations such as IT, Network, or CTO. You will have a strong technical background and knowledge of technical providers, coupled with a strong business background in vendor management, contract management, governance, compliance, service level management, security, financial management, project management, asset management, and more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform vendor and contract management, including gathering technical requirements, identifying and analyzing sourcing vendors and options, providing financial analysis and recommendations for vendor selection, supporting contract negotiations, and overseeing contract governance and service level management.
  • Develop and deliver strategic roadmaps, reviewing best practices, understanding current and future trends in technology, and formulating strategies to rationalize vendors and products.
  • Manage overall security compliance and procedures between the company and vendors for security standards, including physical, network, and data security.
  • Provide financial management, including preparation and evaluation of RFPs, business case management, research, analysis, contract level financial analysis, benchmarking, and ongoing financial analysis of cost vs. benefit of contracts.
  • Supervise and develop a team of subordinates, conducting joint goal setting and performance reviews, and assisting in the allocation of resources, financial responsibilities, and long-range planning.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering).
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in IT vendor management, contract management, or a related field.
  • Strong technical background and knowledge of technical providers (e.g., technology companies, service providers, contractor suppliers).
  • Strong business background in vendor management, contract management, governance, compliance, service level management, security, financial management, project management, asset management, and more.
  • Experience with Agile, Application Design and Programming, Business Support, Database, Systems Architecture and Engineering, Systems Technical Support, and Technical Disciplines of Software Delivery Proj/Prog Mgmt and Technology Security.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering).
  • ITIL or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and developing a team.
