Job Overview
As a Data Entry Clerk at Walmart, you will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining information into our database systems. This is a full-time position available for both night and day shifts, offering the flexibility to work remotely. You will be part of the Supported Hunt Information group, which is responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and ETL processes for Walmart's Supported Pursuit Advertising platform. You will work collaboratively with different groups inside Walmart to ensure data quality, availability, and reliability for analysis and reporting for sponsors using the self-serve platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large volumes of data to support advertising on Walmart.com and its subsidiaries.
- Work on cloud platforms like Azure and Google Cloud for data storage, processing, and analysis.
- Design and deploy large-scale, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in public clouds like Google GCP and Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate with other scrum teams, QA, Product, Program Management, and Partner Operations, while working with cross-functional project development teams.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to investigate production issues across cross-functional teams.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Demonstrated expertise in data modeling concepts, database design, ETL processes, and data mining.
- Proficiency in working with data technologies including SQL, Python, Flash, Scala, Hadoop, and related tools and technologies.
- Experience with ETL tools like Apache Airflow.
- Strong skills working with relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra).
- Experience with real-time message processing using Apache Kafka.
- Experience in designing and implementing data models for efficient storage and retrieval.
