Job Summary

The Entry Level Remote Data Entry and Investment Operations Specialist will be responsible for performing daily reconciliation, trade, and transfer activities for various investments. This role will involve processing exchange buy and sell transactions in customer profiles, identifying and addressing breaks between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents, and handling corporate activity events, settlement, and reconciliation of transfer activity, and processing and reconciling returns activity. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process exchange buy and sell transactions in customer profiles
  • Identify and address breaks between TD Ameritrade and fund companies or transfer agents
  • Handle corporate activity events, settlement, and reconciliation of transfer activity
  • Process and reconcile returns activity
  • Perform research on complex and escalated issues
  • Conduct testing and validation of new technology enhancements and company changes
  • Complete projects in investing, dividends, transfers, reconciliation, and corporate actions that directly impact client/advisor accounts
  • Communicate with retail and institutional business teams through email, phone, Slack, Outlook, and Salesforce
  • Collaborate with TD Ameritrade Clearing and external business partners, including fund companies, transfer agents, and contra parties

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; degree in finance, business, or related field preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience in data entry, investment operations, or a related field
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Experience with TD Ameritrade systems and technology
  • Knowledge of investment products, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements, including 2340 and 15C3-3
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, with ability to identify trends and insights
  • Certifications, such as Series 7 or 66, or willingness to obtain
