What You'll Do
As a Customer Service Representative at Chewy, you'll be the face of our company, providing exceptional support to our valued pet parents. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Engaging with Customers: You'll interact with customers who contact us for a variety of topics, ranging from helping them shop for their new pet, to finding that perfect chew toy, or even problem-solving when something doesn't go as planned.
- Researching and Problem-Solving: You'll research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customers, think proactively, and set follow-ups as needed to ensure contact resolution.
- Providing Exceptional Customer Service: You'll operate with understanding, utilize active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness to customers and Team Members alike.
- Collaborating with Team Members: You'll engage with teammates, your direct Manager, and other team members across many levels of the organization using virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and webcams to contribute to an infectious customer-centric culture of collaboration.
- Continuous Learning and Growth: You'll operate with a willingness to learn, share feedback, receive feedback, and operate in a culture of being open-minded to grow.
What You'll Need
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ Years of Customer Service Experience: You'll need a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You'll need to demonstrate excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) in a written assessment.
- Multi-Tasking and Adaptability: You'll need to be able to multi-task (e.g., maintain a conversation on the phone while navigating on the computer and taking notes) and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Using Computers: You'll need to be proficient in using computers, both for data entry, as well as for rapid navigation through systems and the internet to search for information to help support our customers.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: You'll need to be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to shift schedule and work overtime as needed by the business unit.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: You'll need a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Background Check: You'll need to be able to pass a background check.
Technical Requirements
To work from home, you'll need:
- Reliable High-Speed Internet: You'll need a reliable wired, high-speed internet and broadband connection (30 Mbps download speed/ 10Mbps upload speed).
- Work Area Requirements: Your work area must be large enough to accommodate computer monitors and be free from distractions, including any background noise that impacts the customer experience.
- Webcam and Computer Equipment: You'll need a work area acceptable for webcam use, and we'll provide everything else (computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, webcam).
- Cell Phone or Tablet: You'll need a cell phone or tablet that can be used for two-factor authentication through Okta Verify.
