About the Role

We are seeking an experienced full stack healthcare professional to join our team as a virtual assistant for patient care and data entry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including precise evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions, as well as health guidance and attitude anticipating our patients. You will also be responsible for regulatory obligations, including opening and closing the clinic, stocking, patient flow, checking insurance and collecting payment, and maintaining a clean environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care, including precise evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions, as well as health guidance and attitude anticipating our patients.
  • Perform regulatory obligations, including opening and closing the clinic, stocking, patient flow, checking insurance and collecting payment, and maintaining a clean environment.
  • Be responsible for managing patient arrangements and performing guiding assessments to ensure positive patient health outcomes.
  • Perform duties including talking with patients about healthy lifestyle decisions, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or diseases, and planning with other healthcare professionals to maintain a comprehensive plan of care.
  • Encourage patients to become active participants in their healthcare and well-being through services like health screenings, social health, and health, chronic condition management.

Required Capabilities

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care, including precise evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions, as well as health guidance and attitude anticipating our patients. This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) prevention, and safer sex practices.
  • Order and administer vaccinations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, flu, TB, and Depo) and provide evidence-based patient/parent vaccination guidance and education.
  • At least two years of clinically relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Complete the Spoke certification test within 30 days of employment.
  • Depending on the market, the ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in additional languages, not limited to including Spanish.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing mouth-to-mouth and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Pass a FIT assessment and wear the provided respirator mask when required.

Favored Capabilities

  • If under one year of work experience as a licensed provider, earlier student precepting experience with MinuteClinic is preferred, but not required.

Training

We require a graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Accreditation and State of Practice licensure to practice in the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse role. Alternatively, in select states, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related graduate degree or equivalent experience along with a Four-year education in science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Accreditation and State of Practice licensure to practice in the job.
