Job Overview
As our Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that doubles our new customer acquisition rate each month. You will be the driving force behind our marketing efforts, proposing innovative campaigns, enhancing customer communication, and establishing new acquisition channels. Your expertise in marketing e-commerce SaaS solutions to Shopify merchants with over $3m in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) will be instrumental in shaping our marketing direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a data-driven marketing strategy to achieve aggressive growth targets
 - Propose and implement innovative marketing campaigns to drive new customer acquisition
 - Enhance customer communication and engagement through targeted marketing initiatives
 - Establish and optimize new acquisition channels to diversify our marketing mix
 - Track and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights to inform future marketing decisions
 - Report monthly growth in new customers to the founders, ensuring transparency and accountability
 - Leverage AI and automation to streamline marketing processes and maximize efficiency
 
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess:
- Proven experience in marketing e-commerce SaaS solutions to Shopify merchants with over $3m in GMV
 - A track record of driving growth in a profitable company, with a focus on sustainable expansion
 - Experience working in a remote, asynchronous environment, with expertise in tools like Slack and Zapier
 - A strong understanding of AI and automation, with a willingness to leverage these technologies to enhance marketing performance
 - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and inform marketing decisions
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience working on a contract basis, with a preference for fee-based arrangements
 - A background in e-commerce, SaaS, or a related industry, with a deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem
 - Familiarity with marketing automation tools and platforms, such as Marketo or Pardot
 - A proven track record of driving growth through innovative marketing strategies and campaigns
