Job Summary
We're looking for a highly skilled and energetic Bookkeeper to join our growing organization. As a Bookkeeper at Judith Heft & Associates, you will play a critical role in managing the financial affairs of our clients with precision and care. This is a full-time, remote position requiring a strong background in bookkeeping, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client financial records with accuracy, including accounts payable, receivables, and journal entries.
 - Process online and offline bill payments and reconcile accounts to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
 - Generate month-end client reports, providing insights into financial performance and position.
 - Utilize QuickBooks Desktop, QBO, and Quicken to maintain up-to-date financial records and perform tasks efficiently.
 - Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel, to communicate effectively and produce reports.
 - Handle confidential client information with discretion and maintain the highest level of professionalism.
 - Develop strong relationships with clients, particularly seniors, by providing exceptional customer service and support.
 - Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
 
Essential Qualifications
- 3+ years of directly related bookkeeping experience, preferably in a boutique or high-end financial services environment.
 - Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, QBO, and Quicken, with a strong understanding of financial management principles.
 - Excellent organizational, time-management, and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
 - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
 - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain client confidentiality.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Bookkeeper (or similar certification) demonstrating expertise and commitment to the profession.
 - Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and seniors, understanding their unique financial needs and preferences.
 - A background in financial services or a related field, with a deep understanding of financial management and accounting principles.
