About Ryder and the Role

As a Carrier Recruiter, you will be an integral part of our team, focusing on recruiting Non-CDL, DOT carriers with experience in white-glove, in-home delivery using 26' Box Trucks. This role is not just about filling positions; it's about building a network of qualified carriers who can support our clients and drive our business forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Source, screen, interview, and refer Non-CDL, DOT owner-operators to site leadership for current and new operations, ensuring a seamless recruitment process.
- Oversee recruitment processes from start to finish, ensuring efficiency and compliance with all legal and DOT regulations.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with carriers, site leadership, compliance teams, and internal stakeholders to drive recruitment success.
- Ensure a positive recruiting and onboarding experience for carrier candidates, positioning Ryder as the partner of choice.
- Collaborate with senior operations teams, site managers, and fellow recruiters to achieve recruitment goals.
- Manage recruitment KPIs, executing strategies such as advertising and remote recruitment, and track progress.
- Provide insights into recruitment strategies, market conditions, and potential challenges to inform business decisions.
Essential Skills and Abilities
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Proficiency with MS Office and online search tools, with familiarity with Salesforce, RiskConnect, and OpenForce platforms being a plus.
- Strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities, with a customer service orientation.
- Comfort with working remotely and in the field, with the ability to travel up to 20-30%.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 2 years or more of experience in full-life cycle recruiting, with a focus on transportation/logistics contract management.
- 2 years or more of experience in recruiting owner-operators or drivers.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $75,000, depending on experience. In addition, you may be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
