Job Summary

As a Category Analyst - Retail, you'll play a critical role in supporting channel-specific selling strategies and category management at BODYARMOR Sports Nutrition. This role involves providing robust and fact-based insights to influence decision-making at the company's largest regional customers. You'll be a strategic partner to Account Managers, offering guidance, tools, and support to help them achieve their sales goals. Reporting to the Senior Category Manager - Retail, you'll be an integral part of the team driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership and Leadership:
    • Participate in regional account annual line review objective setting, meeting preparation, deck development, and in-person meeting participation.
    • Provide fact-based thought leadership to influence strategic and tactical decisions for customer planning and execution.
    • Develop compelling insights to support a storyline, culminating in recommendations that benefit the retailer and shopper while supporting BASN corporate objectives.
    • Lead the process to maximize category and BASN sales through assortment optimization, days on hand analysis, and regression modeling, resulting in retailer-specific planogram recommendations.
  • Category Analytics:
    • Proactively analyze key customer performance, identifying execution gaps, sub-par item performance, post-promo evaluation, and category dynamic shifts.
    • Lead the process to identify retailer-specific pricing and promotional opportunities, ensuring everyday shelf prices are compelling to shoppers and trade spend is optimized.
    • Own and evolve customer-specific reporting for the CATMAN team, leveraging analytical processes to glean insights and make recommendations to customers.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Provide leadership and direction to ensure company strategy and plans are executed.
    • Lead training sessions to enable the sales force to be more comfortable selling with advanced analytics.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, category management, shopper insights, and strategy.
  • A team player with exceptional leadership, communication, and management qualities.
  • Demonstrated capacity for big-picture, strategic thinking, creative thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Expert technical skills, including scan systems, panel systems, trade funds management software, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • A BA/BS degree is required.
  • Field sales experience is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $86,300 - $104,500, depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The company offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position.
