The Role at a Glance
As a Claims Customer Care Associate, you'll be the primary point of contact for claimants, providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the claims process. You'll work closely with claimants, employers, and internal stakeholders to ensure a positive experience, educate customers on their claims needs, and advise on next steps in the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to 50-60 customer inquiries daily, providing timely and accurate information regarding their claims through multiple applications and platforms.
- Verify benefits as needed for members, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy.
- Educate customers and employers on primary products, including FMLA and disability, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders via email and phone, demonstrating a customer-centric and professional demeanor.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and champion organizational initiatives to positively impact the team and quality.
- Participate in a comprehensive training program, including 6 weeks of paid training (Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm EST) with no time off during this period.
- Work a regular full-time or part-time schedule, with flexibility to work varying shifts between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm EST.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- A reliable internet connection with a minimum bandwidth of 12 Mbps (25 Mbps preferred).
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following experience and skills are highly valued:
- Data entry and research experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to navigate multiple systems and applications.

Compensation and Benefits
We're offering a competitive salary range of $17.48 - $22.08, with actual base pay varying based on non-discriminatory factors, including work experience, education, and location. In addition to your base pay, you may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, long-term incentives, and other rewards.
