The Opportunity
As a Client Account Specialist, you'll be responsible for a range of critical tasks that will help drive the firm's financial success. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing clients and billing attorneys with reports, copies of invoices, and other necessary documents to facilitate payment of outstanding invoices.
 - Generating monthly reminder statements and preparing collection letters to ensure timely collections.
 - Updating the collection database with the status of collections efforts to maintain accurate records.
 - Reviewing aged accounts receivable (A/R) and communicating with billing attorneys, billing specialists, and clients to ensure timely collections.
 - Proactively managing problematic A/R and working with the collections team, billing attorney, and billing specialist to resolve outstanding issues.
 - Creating clear and concise spreadsheets outlining billing, payments, and outstanding invoices to facilitate payment.
 - Assisting the billing department with projects and other duties assigned by the Director of Billing & Collections.
 
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
 - 2+ years of experience working in a law firm as an A/R professional, preferably with experience using Aderant.
 - 2+ years of experience with A/R success in facilitating payment of outstanding invoices.
 - Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel and the ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets.
 - Experience with collection software and a willingness to learn new systems.
 - Knowledge of the firm's business process and business operations, or a willingness to learn.
 
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- EPLI (Insurance) experience, which will be considered a plus.
 - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of collection software, which will be highly valued.

The hourly rate range for this position is $33.75 - $36.00. Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
