Job Overview: Executive Recruiter Role
We are seeking an experienced Executive Recruiter to join our team, responsible for working with senior management to attract, find, assess, and deliver top talent to Walgreens Boots Alliance and its divisions in support of enterprise-wide short, medium, and long-term strategies. This role requires a strong and diverse skill set in relevant areas to drive success, including expertise in recruitment, talent management, and leadership development. As an Executive Recruiter, you will be the primary point of contact for candidates and will represent WBA and its divisional brands, ensuring a positive experience for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior-level executives, hiring managers, and other stakeholders to understand business objectives and talent needs.
- Design and implement search strategies to source top talent, including direct sourcing, networking, and partnering with external search firms.
- Conduct thorough assessments of candidates, including interviews, evaluations, and reference checks, to ensure the best fit for the role and the organization.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, talent management, and business leaders, to ensure seamless integration of new hires and effective onboarding.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the external and internal talent market, including industry trends, competitor activity, and best practices in recruitment and talent management.
- Provide consultative services to hiring managers and other stakeholders, offering expertise and guidance on recruitment, talent management, and leadership development.
- Manage search contracts and spend, ensuring effective use of resources and budget.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, including OFCCP guidelines and EEO/ diversity initiatives.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in an in-house recruitment department or retained search firm, or a high school diploma/GED and at least 4 years of experience in an in-house recruitment department or retained search firm.
- Experience using behavioral interviewing and other assessment methods.
- Experience in sourcing, screening, interviewing, and evaluating talent.
- Experience writing candidate summaries and communicating feedback in writing to senior-level hiring managers.
- Experience presenting offers to candidates and negotiating on a case-by-case basis.
- Experience with ensuring timely progression with candidates to provide a positive experience.
- Experience with Kenexa or similar recruitment software tools (Peopleclick, BrassRing, etc.).
- Experience providing senior-level executives (hiring managers) with consultative delivery of start-to-finish search services, meeting industry top-quality standards, yielding high ratings of assessment of customer satisfaction.
- Experience using time management skills, such as prioritizing/organizing and following details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with people at all levels of the organization, in the business community, and with vendors.
- Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect management, and additional cross-functional team leadership.
- Able to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- A bachelor's degree in HR or Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience using behavioral interviewing and other assessment techniques.
- AIRS Accreditation.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet divisional objectives within budget and established timelines.
- Experience working with OFCCP compliant guidelines.
