Job Summary
As a Food Service Worker at Morrison Healthcare, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving food to our patients, visitors, and staff. This is a full-time position that requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas to drive success. If you have previous customer service and food service experience, that's a plus, but we're also willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to our recipes and production standards
 - Present and serve food in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
 - Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables
 - Weigh and measure designated ingredients
 - Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
 - Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures
 - Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils
 - Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment
 - Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control
 - Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor
 - Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
 - Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
 - Perform other duties as assigned
 
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
 - Previous customer service and food service experience preferred, but not required
 - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 - Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe)
 - Experience working in a healthcare setting
 - Basic knowledge of nutrition and food preparation
