Position Overview
As a Geospatial Data Analyst at Workwarp, you will play a critical role in analyzing, manipulating, converting, and transforming geographic data into military-specified compliance. You will work closely with our team to ensure that our maritime products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, manipulate, convert, and transform geographic data into military-specified compliance, ensuring accuracy and quality
- Work with Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) and/or Digital Nautical Chart (DNC) data, utilizing comprehensive maritime product knowledge
- Perform quality assurance/quality control to project-specific guidance, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
- Utilize Esri ArcGIS software, including updating geodatabases in ArcMap, managing data in ArcCatalog, and utilizing various data editing toolbars
- Develop and maintain knowledge of geospatial metadata, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Meet deadlines and milestones, working in a fast-paced production environment
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers, providing updates and insights on project progress
- Adapt to changing priorities and requirements, demonstrating flexibility and agility
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent military experience
- 5+ years of GIS experience, with direct experience producing Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) and/or Digital Nautical Chart (DNC)
- Maritime product knowledge, with experience working with ENC and/or DNC data
- Experience performing quality assurance/quality control to project-specific guidance
- Knowledge of geospatial metadata and experience meeting deadlines
- Experience with validation software, such as 7Cs Analyzer
- US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CARIS S-57 composer
- Prior experience working with 7Cs Analyzer validation software
- Ability to prepare reports, labor and/or cost estimates, and justifications
- Experience developing scripts that automate GIS processes using Python
- Knowledge of in-house and regional spatial data resources
- Experience with IHO S-57 and S-100 product specifications
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS software, with experience with data conversion and cross-product schema mapping
- Knowledge of SQL and experience with data editing toolbars
