Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes according to recipes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Support chefs and other kitchen staff with various tasks as needed, including stocking supplies and managing inventory.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any maintenance issues to management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask under pressure.
Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
