Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell air travel to the traveling public or freight forwarders, providing expert knowledge and assistance.
- Assist with passenger check-in and load acceptance, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
- Interpret and apply airline policies and regulations for domestic and international travel or shipment.
- Meet and dispatch aircraft within established times, demonstrating attention to detail and time management skills.
- Provide assistance to distressed passengers and clients, showcasing empathy and problem-solving abilities.
- Protect company assets and revenue, adhering to security protocols and procedures.
- Ensure a safe travel experience, following internal and external regulations and guidelines.
- Perform multiple tasks within a limited timeframe, utilizing organizational skills and adaptability.
- Respond and assist during safety and emergency situations, demonstrating composure and initiative.
- May be required to drive and operate air stairs to various types of aircraft, ensuring safe and efficient passenger boarding and deplaning.
- Guide and direct the work of other employees, taking on a leadership role and promoting a positive work environment.
- May be required to perform Passenger Operation Control functions, including air-to-ground communication and Tower operations.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- The ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language.
- Bilingual language skills are preferred in certain locations.
- A valid driver's license, as required by local authorities.
- The ability to pass FAA background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable.
- The ability to secure suitable airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.
- Flexibility to work irregular and/or extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following skills and experience will be highly regarded:
- Previous customer service experience, particularly in the aviation industry.
- Knowledge of airline operations, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
