Job Description As a valued colleague on our team, you will design and develop moderately complex solutions for information technology (IT) infrastructure environments, including coding, testing, and certifying technology platforms, software, and applications under limited supervision. THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE The AWS Data Integration and ETL Engineer - Senior Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities: Develop moderately complex solutions for application design and IT infrastructure components. Provision, maintain and optimize AWS infrastructure to host Data Integration environments using the target state DevOps tools and keeping costs in mind. Manage AWS Glue, AWS EMR, AWS Athena native services including, but not limited to, setting up deployment models, building reference implementations, enhancing resiliency, and continuously enhancing the product based on AWS roadmap Engage with shared service teams and customers to understand their needs and assess feasibility of use cases Understand the end-to-end performance of IT platforms. Draft and maintain policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures. Independently monitor advanced performance and capacity metrics for technology solutions. Automate operational tasks using Python or Unix Shell scripting THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM Minimum Required Experiences 2 years Skills Skilled in cloud technologies and cloud computing Determining causes of operating errors and taking corrective action Programming including coding, debugging, and using relevant programming languages Risk Assessment and Management including evaluating and designing controls, conducting impact assessments, identifying control gaps, remediating risk, etc. Product Development including designing products, developing product roadmaps, translating design requirements, prototyping, etc. Experience monitoring and managing operation systems (OS), and staying current on patches, upgrades, and other elements of the OS Communication including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, planning and distributing communication, etc. Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc. Tools Skilled in Python object-oriented programming Desired Experiences Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent 4+ years of experience Proficient in AWS services including S3, EFS/EBS, Glue (Catalog and ETL), EMR, Athena, Lambda Step Functions, SQS/SNS, ECS Proficient in Terraform, Gitlabd, Ansible Experience in AWS EMR/Hadoop and Apache Spark/PySpark Experience in data engineering, data warehousing, data security and ETL processes Desired AWS Certification: Developer, Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer or Security Certifications Cloud Infrastructure - Technology Engineering - Senior Associate $121,000-158,000 a year Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Level Degree (Required) The future is what you make it to be. Final salaries will generally vary within that range based on factors that include but are not limited to, skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant qualifications.
