Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Director, Global Head, Adversarial Abuse/Analytics to lead our Trust and Safety team's Adversarial Abuse and Analytics group at YouTube. As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of adversarial abuse, including account takeovers, ended users, engagement abuse, spam, and more. You will also oversee the Business Analytics team, generating insights, measuring uncaught badness, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries worldwide. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Adversarial Abuse group responsible for identifying and removing bad actors attempting account takeovers, spam, engagement abuse, evading end, and more.
  • Oversee the Business Analytics team generating insights, measuring uncaught badness, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries worldwide.
  • Understand, anticipate, and proactively mitigate risks from new, scaling industry trends (e.g., generative AI).
  • Collaborate with the Policy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior.
  • Deliver effective and efficient operational execution (e.g., quality, service levels) in a global team working 24x7.
  • Engage, retain, manage, and develop top talent.
  • Manage accelerations with quick turnaround times, provide data-driven insights, and implement solutions while building relationships with key cross-functional partners.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/delivering analytical experiences.
  • 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that form data infrastructure and ML models.
  • 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks of work as accelerations require.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate education in a related field (e.g., analytics, engineering, data science).
  • 2 years of experience with analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse activities.
  • Knowledge of SQL/R/Matlab.
  • Excellent influencing and leadership relational skills and the ability to build associations with cross-functional partners.
  • Exceptional business judgment, strategic and analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business operations.
