About the Role
As a Senior Staff Data Scientist at Google, you'll play a critical role in driving business growth and innovation through data-driven insights. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex problems, and develop data-driven solutions that meet the needs of our users. With a strong background in data science and a passion for innovation, you'll be an invaluable asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partners in cross-functional team settings to identify and clarify business or product inquiries to address
 - Provide feedback to interpret and refine business inquiries into manageable investigations, assessment measurements, or numerical models
 - Utilize custom data infrastructure or existing data models as fitting, using specific data to design and evaluate models that numerically communicate and tackle defined issues
 - Gather data, business objectives, needs, and organizational context around the inquiries to respond to, as well as the current and impending data framework
 - Own the process of gathering, extracting, and assembling data across sources through pertinent tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python)
 - Independently design, re-structure, and validate data to ensure quality, and survey the dataset to ensure it is prepared for investigation
 
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Measurements, Information Science, Math, Physical Science, Financial Matters, Tasks Exploration, Designing, or a connected quantitative field
 - 4 years of work experience utilizing investigation to take care of item or business issues, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), questioning data sets or factual examination, or 8 years of work insight with a Ph.D. degree
 
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered a plus:
- 4 years of work experience utilizing investigation to take care of item or business issues, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), questioning data sets or factual examination, or 10 years of work insight with a Ph.D. degree
